This model was somewhat inspired by Majo's "Ceratopsier" a few months ago. I tried using DoF but TC/Anilab wouldn't have it.

***Edit 10 Nov,2010***
I've had a bit of time to play with this some more, I've posted a better video 3 posts down.

You just can't please some 4 year olds. Just when you think you can puff ya chest out - they come out with hurtful stuff like "does he talk?" or "can you make him dance?" or "not adden...that's boring daddy..." Oh well, if the boy wants more than this, I'll frighten him witless with Jurassic Park...

Many thanks, Marian. Originally, this was just a rendering that I posted in the gallery http://forums.turbocad.com/index.php/topic,4770.0.html. I would really have liked Depth of Field but admit defeat there - I've changed all obvious settings but cannot replicate your awsome Ceratopsier. Perhaps it's a scale thing, this model is only 200mm long.

Hi Julian,

DOF setup operating at each scale. Enclose and screen drawing. Hope that helps.    ;)

It most certainly does! I guessed it was a scaling issue but didn't see a relationship to "Units" at bottom of "Depth of Field" dialogue. I had not made any changes from the inbuilt presets, so it makes a huge difference now (obvious when you know how!)
Thank you so much, Marián

re: Depth of Field scale.

Another thing you may want to experiment with is the "Rendering Style Units" list. See what "By Drawing" or one of the other options does for you.
