I am a setting out engineer using cad as tool for site calculations.
I am trying to find a quick way of finding an arc measurement from the start of a radius line to a point part way round. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello John, when you insert an angular dimension, click the arc, and then right click for properties. The format tab will give you an option for arc length, so tick this box.
Not sure about part way around the arc.
Maybe splitting your arcs is the best bet.

Hi Michael. For the full length of arc I can get that from the selection info pallet - no need to to dimension it (i am only collecting the info for my own use as an engineer - not producing a working drawing for others). Splitting the arc is a good idea - can always join the line back together again for the next calculation. Thanks for help. John
