Id like to see the option for renaming a material file before pasting into to the same folder. What I mean is if you want to edit a material by copying and then pasting you cant post into the same folder. Therefore you have to paste into like a temp folder then rename it then copy it back. Wouldnt it be easier if you could just rename on the fly if your posting into the same folder for editing etc.

Not sure I understand Darryl.   At present, in render manager, If one right clicks a material in the left hand panel.  and chooses 'copy material here'  it throws up a dialog to enter a new name, and places the material into the same folder as the original.

But as I say I'm not sure this is what you are after.

Apologies here I never saw that menu option Copy Material here before, you only get it if you right click again.  ::)
