Tagging Viewports in Paperspace

Hi, All.

Design Director shows I have 42 views in my drawing, which is correct.  I am using about half of these in Viewports in Paperspace.

How do I identify which view is in a viewport?

In the Viewport Properties window, there is a box which looks like it should show the name of the view, but that box is grayed out.

Uncheck the "Fixed" Scale option, then you should be able to select a Viewport Name.  Otherwise, use the "Viewport" section in the Selection Info palette to pick a View Name. That's not locked like the Properties dialog is.

I can't make that work, John.

John,

Un-checking the fixed scale on the Viewport Properties window did indeed work for me as far a selecting a view.  That gets me halfway there.  What I was looking for is a way to identify which view is currently in the Viewport.  The same menu is available in the Selector Information Palette but, once again, it does not identify the current view in the Viewport.

This has always been a problem with TurboCAD. As soon as you Scale the Viewport, the name goes away in the Properties dialog. I thought the "Space" page in the Design Director might show something, but no luck. Using "Lock Camera" seems to retain the View Name in Selection Info.

Thanks, John and Henry!

Although I won't be able to identify the existing views in my Viewports, it is helpful to know going forward how to lock in the names.
