A quick review shows pluses and minuses to this database.

On the Plus side, I have seen TurboCAD specific files available for download.

On the Minus side, some of the files are not free.  Also, the Electrical and Electronic components are woefully limited (looks like I will have to continue drawing my own SOIC components).   ;)

http://cben.net/   good blocks and symbols for 2D architectural/plumbing/mechanical, some  3-D

Kind of a funny story but not really, For my architectural version I did not  load the extra architectural  symbols, So I went out searching the Internet for symbols and blocks.   Later I found this forum I realize that I had not installed my symbols from the architectural part of the program.

Turns out I had all the stuff I needed as far as architectural symbols.

Here's a couple others

Lots and lots of stuff there. Might be a problem finding what's needed.

Most of the 3D solidworks files convert to iges on this site, Not sure if other file sources do, but this is a V useful resource.
