Because you will stretch the length of the angle'd area aswell

I am afraid no, at least i believe so.
You can make a symbol and stretch 1 end, or you kan make a PPM that will do it for you.
I am not sure but maybe it will work if you use/ add Constraint dimension on the beam

If you want to change an inserted block, I would suggest exploding before editing.
You may wish to create another block, after editing, if it would help.
Editing the original block, before inserting into the drawing, will edit all blocks in the drawing.

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Using Win 10 with Designer 2017 and TurboCAD Pro. Plat. 2016/2017/2018 + Lightworks (64-bit versions) + AnimationLab.

Slice it into two pieces and move them together or apart as required. If you're shortening the beam, 3D-Add the pieces back together. If you're lengthening it, fill the gap with Extrude to Face.

a block or a box?
changing the size in the inspector bar , changes the length in the x or y direction.

If it is a block I find it easiest to change the size before rotating the block.

Facet editor lets you do it exactly the way you want to do it, once the block's exploded to be editable.   Alternatively, use vector copy to move a copy of the piece along its longitudinal axis, add copy and orginal together or intersect them if the result is to be shorter than the original.

I made a small simple ppm that will do it for you if i understand correct what it should do if you have Platinum Edition, you dont tell what edition of TC you have
In case unpack the zip and place the ppm in;
C:\Users\Your Username\Documents\TurboCAD 2018 x64\Professional x64\Symbols\My Symbols

Open the Library Palette and find My Symbols folder and if TC was on, then click in there, then rigthclick and reload and it should turn up
It will have a ? mark, select it and rigthclick again and select rebuild thumbnail, and up on rigth side in that menu you can chose what view you want to use.

It is in metric, so if you use inch open the file and delete the first line "Units (1[mm])" or just change "mm" to "in", in case you maybe also want to change the Parametervalues on the top, ele it will be a pretty big beam :)

For change parameters befor inserting, Select it and change it's property or do it later in Selection Info Palette.
For inserting just drag it over if you are in wireframe mode, or you can click on "Insert" symbol on the top of the menu
