3D PRINTING

I wish there was a separate forum under 3D Printing for tips and such for 3d printing parts  would be helpful some have found  a better way to print a part or portion of part. EXAMPLE in 3D Printing I saw someone posted they printed a thread and how they did it to make it work best like that kind of as an example. I now use Tc to design parts for 3D Printing besides other uses and think it would be helpful to TC users doing this.

Hi
Yes, I have just got into the 3D Printing world....

I had to do threads for this undermount sink retainer invention for a real kitchen installation.
I made the bolt 1mm less in diameter and the bolt had 95% infill for strength... worked very well...

Impressive work.

Which material did you use and where did you have it fabricated?

Also, are you aware that several plastics can now be made with aluminum or carbon fiber added for even stronger parts?

Thanks Jeff

I printed them myself using the attached and with White ABS then sprayed them white as the white ABS was not really white enough for my liking.

Groovy Daz  :) you've been busy.

Was the drawing created in TC for sending to the 3D printer?

Hi Darrel,

what a neat idea, and, well executed, by the looks of it.     8)
Are you able to capitalise on this, before everyone and their aunt does?

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Using Win 10 with Designer 2017 and TurboCAD Pro. Plat. 2016/2017/2018 + Lightworks (64-bit versions).

Thanks Tim...

Yes I am in talks with a few, there is one similar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7s2xE7ZrZM) on the market but only really available in the US. Mine has a few advantages in it's appearance, being adjustable and can be installed to position the sink before the worktops have been made for templating purposes etc....

That is fantastic that's what it is all about creativity and  being able to design and then make it yourself!!!
