Corrupted file

I am getting very frustrated with TC 2017 Professional Platinum.  The last file I edited cannot be opened anymore and when I try to open it, TC crashes.  I upgraded to this version about a year ago because the earlier version was very fragile on Windows 10, but now I have the same issues with this version.  The only reason I have not seriously tried Freecad is the learning curve, but I am very tempted to dump TC and go that way since my productivity is ridiculously low anyway.

It sounds like the file is corrupted.
Have you tried starting a new clean file and extracting the data from the corrupted file?
Every now and then I also feel like switching to freecad - then I start playing with it.
It has its issues too although the potential is there.

I found 2016 PP also temperamental  .... and settled it down with the below Tip ....

It also helped some users of 2017 PP.

Cheers

Was the backup also corrupted, (Windows - Documents - TurboCAD (version) - Pro 64 (or whatever) - Backup

If the file isn't too big, you could post it for someone to see if it opens on their machine.
