Monitor

My current setup is 2 - 24" monitors for TurboCad, 1 for the drawing screen - the other for Toolbars, Palettes etc. I'm considering a single Ultrawide monitor similar to the one one shown in the attached screenshot. Any thoughts and opinions on this type of monitor are welcome. By using one monitor I can reduce the overall desktop footprint and save 1 elec. outlet.

Thanks,
Don.

Make sure the video card in your system can handle the display resolution at a decent refresh rate (60 Hz, minimum).

It should work fine (if your video card can handle it).

Keep in mind that the resolution is less than two 24" monitors side by side.  It appears to be around 0.3mm dot pitch with around 30" by 13" viewing area for 2560 by 1080 pixels.

The standard engineering workstation where I work is two 24" monitors.  We do schematic drawing and simulation across a double width virtual window.  The crack between monitors is barely noticed.  Two 24" monitors with narrow bezels would provide 3840 by 1080 total pixels and a viewing area around 41" by 12".  The dot pitch is around 0.275mm.  The cost of two 24's should be less than the 34" monitor.
