Hi I have designed some wardrobes in TC 2016 and set out all the parts for cutting with cnc program called Ucancam.  I saved the drawing as dwg in TC then opened it with autocad 2010 all looked ok so saved it again as a dwg in AC and opened that file with Ucancam thats where it all goes potty and ends up with objects moved and lines that i have not drawn have appeared see attached pic. any ideas how to fix/prevent this happening.

Cheers
Pjay

Is it possible to see if the same problem occurs when opening the file with another program - not autocad. I use draftsite.
Just to check if it is a TC problem or an autocad problem.

Or  you can post an example of the TC file - saved as TCW.

Had the same problem with DWG files that were supposed to be read by some CAM software.  We never did find out the solution; the workaround was to send STEP files.

I left this for a while as I couldn't work out the problem didn't give up just took a break from it to come back to it later with a fresh head,  anyway I went for another way to do it that worked :) it was pretty simple and obvious to be honest, Ucancam doesn't understand 3D and that's what my drawing was, a mix of 2d and 3d so I drew over the 3D stuff in 2D then copied all the new 2d work to a fresh new drawing and made sure there were no blocks no lights and just layer 0, I saved it as a dxf and bingo it worked in Ucancam. My boys happy now hes wardrobes will be fitted after Christmas. Thanks for the help guys

You could take a look at the Section command.  If you adjust the section point properly (if it has to be adjusted at all), you'll save a lot of the time that a redraw would take.
