Lag in drawing and snaps/ortho features don’t work

2017 version

Yesterday, in a drawing file that had previously worked smoothly enough, line and other drawing tools began to have a weird lag.  Click to start line, eg, and nothing would show, click  to finish, and as late as 8 seconds later, a line might show.
Snaps sort of work, but do not highlight to signify their activity.  So, eg, mystery line described above might start invisibly at a midpoint.
Restarted program and computer several times with no success.  First time I’ve seen this issue...any suggestions?

Maybe there is something that are in conflict somehow, like if there are to small space for TC to work.
I had something similar some years ago, when one rail turned 180 degree to quick and make it to "narrow", then it take more than 1 min between each step i want to do, so figured it out and closed that rail layer and TC work normal again.

Maybe try to close layer you worked on last and step by step try to find what's the culpit

Or attach the drawing and someone will figure it out.

Open the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del triple press) and select the Performance tab.  Then, open TurboCAD and your file.  See how much memory is used.  Review it often as you work.  A few years ago, I had a file that maxed out my 16 GB system.  When that happened, Windows turned on Disk Swapping between active memory and virtual memory (using the hard drive as spare system memory).

When that happened, everything got very, very slow.

See what happens with your system and file.
