The total job (3 versions of this case) took a couple dozen hours over a couple weeks because I had to research and model the electronics to make sure the case was large enough (my first attempt was not because the client did not provide the correct information... one of the hazards of fixed-price jobs). I also had problems exporting to STL with the second version because, I believe, that the ACIS History got in the way, so I did this version without it and got a clean result.
The basic case design took very little time: two rectangles Lofted together, then Unequal Radius Filleting formed the long, relatively thin portion that was 3D Added to the Box that had been Chamferred and Sliced, with Unequal Radius Filleting, too.
After that, Shell Solid with the bottom face pre-selected and a Quick Pull on the front followed by a Slice By Surface and Shell Solid to make the cowl.
Finally, I had to add screw mounts.
