Weld Symbol Broken in v2018
Read 267 times

Hello,
It appears there may be a problem with the weld symbol generator. I can insert a weld symbol, but I cannot change the symbol from fillet to the other types (bevel, scarf, etc.). The symbol pick boxes seem locked. Can anyone confirm if this is a universal bug, or just a problem with my installation?

If it is my installation, how would I best go about fixing this item?

Thanks for your help.

Confirm.

The interior boxes do not work in the "Weld Symbol" tools. Making changes (that can be made) don't always remain on the initial edit. I've had to go back and re-apply any changes.

It appears to work okay in TurboCAD 2017.

Confirm, and it's worse than stated.

Additionally, most of the text entry boxes that can be activated will ignore changes.  The only exception is the Tail Reference text, which can be changed arbitrarily.

Thanks, guys, for taking a look at this for me. I hope they can fix this soon; I use the weld symbol generator quite a bit.

Once again, thanks for your time.

One workaround while you are waiting for a fix is to place the Weld symbol, adjust the settings as much as you can (the arrows, Convex/Concave, etc.), then Explode once to get to the first level of numbers (those on the right, top and bottom).

For some odd reason, the two numbers at the left are Groups, so you will have to Explode those to be able to edit them.
