Hi

As stated in TC2018 when I attempt to select advanced render - and refresh, the item goes back to draft render.

thanks

How can you tell?  There are no materials assigned to the objects in your drawing.  Quality and Advanced Renders look indistinguishable to Draft Render.

Hi,

I originally did not upgrade to ligfhtworks went it got punted a couple of versions ago.

I am now back on the horse. And have a large project that was created back when lightworks was part of TC. In advanced render i really noticed a difference. I did not play around with anything other than selecting offered materials e.g metal then stainless steel.

Now these old projects will not render bast 'draft'. The new project I uploaded had an iron material affixed. And when I render - the render tab defaults back to 'draft'. see attached.

I maybe be missing something here but advanced render looked almost mirror like.

Thanks
Brett

If you are in a Quality or Advanced Rendering style, whenever you change your view, the program goes to the current Draft render style, then returns to the previous render style. There's a reason for it, but I can't remember just what it is at the moment. The "Red river rural.TCW" file didn't have any materials assigned when opened.

re: …How can you tell?
The difference between Draft and Quality/Advanced are the jaggies found in Draft.

thanks John,

I though there was default materials  attached e.g steel. I'll have a closer look.
