Looks like TC 2018 is now available: https://www.turbocad.com/turbocad-windows/turbocad-pro-platinum-2018.html

Some nice new features, especially the return of LightWorks as the default drawing engine and my two favorites - Isolate and Hide Objects.

CanI ask a question about RedSKD Don.  has all of RedSDK been removed or just the quality / advanced rendering.

The reason I ask is that GDI draft cannot cope with my current drawing, which is heavily faceted (by design, not by a fault), RedSDK can operate in draft very easily but GDI is really sluggish.  There is no mention of RedSDK plug-in on the TC site, and I tried clicking the 'buy' button but no mention of RedSDK at the order stage,

I love the image you posted above.

Thank you for the post Don.

I am looking forward, particularly, to the Create 2D and Flatten Tools.
However, I am not encouraged to upgrade again, just yet, as TurboCAD 2017 (for me, a waste of money), was unusable with the AnimationLab plug-in issues.

Regards Tim

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Using Win 10 with Designer 2017 and TurboCAD Pro. Plat. 2016/2017/2018 + Lightworks (64-bit versions).

I was also getting their old (2017) Windows page, but it seems they're finally updating it with a new page… 2018. Still nothing about the RedSDK plugin in this page or the Plugins page.

Thanks Don.

Hmm, decisions, decisions. see about getting the plug-in or finish the drawing in v2017.  I guess cost is going to be the deciding factor.

Andy,

RW plugin for TC 2018 is developed, tested and ready for sales.
Maybe there are some questions on marketing or perhaps this (decision on sales) will depend on user requests.

Hi Tim.  If you don't fancy looking the trial (Not to buy - just to test it with AL),  Then let me know what problems you can think of, and I'll do some testing when v2018 arrives in the UK (usually a two or three weeks after the US). please post the problems in the AL forum.

LightWorks seems to work okay. I had to rebuild this from scratch, though I consulted my old Version 8 drawing. So much easier with a Bend tool.
