Changing all Properties at Once to By Layer or By Block

It would be a cool time saver if we had a tool that could change all properties of selected elements at once to whatever option we desire.
E.G.
Change Line Color, Line Pattern, Line Width, Brush Color & Brush Pattern all at once to either option we choose: 1)By Layer 2) By Block.

We currently have to select each property seperately.

Would Format Painter work here; provided you have Deluxe or above?

If you want to change the "Drawing_Defaults" (for New from Scratch drawings), you can do this in the "TurboCAD Explorer" palette. Minus 3 (-3) for the Pen Width & Color and BYLAYER (all caps) for the Pattern. Minus 5 (-5) and BYBLOCK for By Block.

John,
By changing the value in the explorer like your example, does that change all entities in the current drawing also? Or do you still have to select, then pick each property for each one?

No, the changes only affect new drawings. I've never found an easy way with existing drawings.

A good suggestion.  As a  sort of) workaround for standalone objects, one could use the Macro-Palette in Pro,  either a custom macro or just use a recorded one (the easiest way).

On drawback may be,   I have not tried it - but it may not work for objects inside a group or block without extra coding.
