Church porch

Not posted for a while.  This is the first part of a local church in Charnock Richard, UK.  I decided to 'attempt' to draw the church as I don't normally do architectural type of drawing, so thought this would be a challenge, for both TC and myself.

This is actually one of the simpler parts but still took quite a while to draw. There are a few embellishments missing, like two 'heads', one with a bishops hat on it, and one with a crown, not figured out how I'll draw them yet.

The sizes are reasonably accurate, given the limitation of measuring everything on my own armed with a camera and tape measure.

Completed in TC 2017 pro with RedSDK.

No.  My original intention was to use the Arch tools, but after trying to cut various shaped holes and needing to cut groves in the walls, I decided that I was simply not good enough at using the arch tools, so reverted to ACIS solids.   I may regret not learning the Architectural tools when I come to put 22 arched windows into the model.

Very nice apse, indeed.

I am especially impressed with the stained glass representations and the stone framing around them.

As far i know it will never be possible to make that small window with curved bottom with just the architect tool.
But dang it's nice, i have never seen a window like this, they are always straigth at the bottom
