Finger Press Engine 2018

I designed a simplified model of the finger press engine and 3D printed it today. I was pleased with the results. I had to change filament rolls during the process and was disappointed that the color of the new roll was more mustard yellow that true yellow, which it was supposed to be. I like the true yellow the best as it makes the print just pop with life (IMHO).

The added metal screws are to give the flywheel some weight.

Render is with LightWorks (Luminance - sampling)

Hope you like it

I like it.  It's a lot more functional than anything I've 3D printed.

Nice work Don.  Looks like it printed really well. I actually like two contrasting colours.

Lovely Job on this Don, love the combination of the matte body and the chromed screws it works just perfect!.Lightworks still takes some beating although I know that the REDWAY engine  has it's advantages.

Nice piece of work!

I take it the screws are as much to improve the flywheeling as for aesthetics.

A design for one of these "executive toys" was published in Model Engineer magazine a few months or so ago.

Thanks. Yes, the screws were added to the flywheel to give it some weight.
