2d boolean operations... no "finish" (alt-f) keyboard shortcuts

Please implement the "finish" (alt-f) keyboard shortcuts for the 2-d boolean operations.  Most every other tool uses the alt-f shortcut to complete the operation with the current tool, but it is absent for the 2-d bools. Instead you have to use the mouse to complete selecting objects.

It is crazy annoying to have to constantly go to the damn checkered flag... especially with the 2-d subtract where you have to do it twice.

I can't find any keyboard combos to achieve the same goal... (ctl-f, enter, space, ctl-space, alt-space, blah blah).  maybe I am missing something obvious but this is driving me crazy!

Oh yeah, I'm trying out TC2017 pro, and it's not implemented there either.

You dont need to go down to the finish flagg, as the Local menu is also on the rigth mouse button, and you can assign your own shortcut as you wish in Customize/ Keyboard

How is this accomplished? As far as I know, there's no way to edit the Local Menu options through the Keyboard page. The "2DBoolean Operations\2D Add" command on the Keyboard page is for activating the tool, nothing more.

Yes, and that is what i was thinking about, and together with mouse it's easy to to use the tool, at least i find it more easy to click than type when i am in the drawing area and do something.
I move the keyboard all the time, so i have to look at it when typing :)

After playing with "2D Add/Subtract" in Platinum for a while, it would be nice if "Finish Selecting" had an "Alt+F" hotkey. It would also be nice if the Super Selector tools worked with the 2D Boolean tools, like they do with the 3D Boolean tools. Instead of clicking all over the place, I could drag a selection window over the objects to be added/subtracted, then "Alt+F".

Be glad you don't have Deluxe. You can't select multiple 2D objects to 2D Add/Subtract. On top of that, the tool ‘turns off’ after every operation. But it doesn't have a "Finish" flag.

This request was brought up "9" years ago, but nothing ever came of it.

See topic: any chance of SEKE F for finish?

I believe this is the image that Management deleted from that topic.

Since the program is "under new management", maybe there's a chance this time ‘round.

:) Makes sense to have  the SEKE

In LTE mode hitting the down arrow brings up "finish selecting"  in the local menu
see attached video.

Thanks Torfinn. The local menu helps a bunch.  I haven't been utilizing it much because I've been trying to do as much as I can with the keyboard.  So i've barely even glanced at it.  I guess I'll have to utilize it more now.

Still would prefer "alt-f" though

I've been using the local menu to finish the 2d bools and it works okay, but I still find it tedious. Not quite as tedious as clicking on the flag, but not that much better.

Using alt-f with other tools (like polyline) is so much faster....

I know it's a nit-pick, but it's frustrating when you get used to a fast method with one tool and not have it in another!
