Could changing to 32bit help

I am having issues with my turbocad 2016 pro plat 64bit
I have tried many functions and they don't seem to behave like they should.
The last thing I tried to do was cut by surface created an open bezier and simple extrude then converted to solid. Created a box and checked it was a solid. The surface totally overlaps the edges of the box but it wil not cut the box.
Do you think a fresh install will help?

Hi Matty,

Briefly, I would suggest starting with a 3D spline, rather than using a bezier, then extrude.
Your resulting surface should then slice through the box without problems?

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Using Win 10 with Designer 2017 and TurboCAD Pro. Plat. 2016/2017/2018 + Lightworks (64-bit versions).

Well typical I started a new model with 4 blocks intending to post it here and cut them without problems 4 different ways, 3 by surface 3d spline, 3d poly, 2d spline and 1 by 2 points.
Could there be something on the existing model causing it to be problematic?

Sure could. That happens sometimes.

Yes.  One of the simplest solutions to a function error is to save the file, close it, then re-open it.  Doesn't always fix the problem, but it will fix a lot of them more quickly than the other fixes, so it should be tried first.
