I'm doing a contract that requires Optima Bold # 10 be placed on a wall next to the elevator. I found a free download which is has a .png file extension that isn't recognized. Which file extension should I be looking for?

Look for the ".TTF" extension. I found one here at FreakFonts: Optima-Bold.

Not fully self-explanatory...

I guess we download the .ttf file.  Go to where we downloaded it.  And copy/paste or drag it into the Fonts folder in Windows Control Panel while that folder is open.
I guess I haven't done this in a while.
An open session of TurboCAD had to be closed before TurboCAD listed the Font available.

In my experience, double-clicking the TTF file will install it (as will right-clicking and selecting Install in the popup menu).

Here's a website that seems to have the different styles of Optima.

Jeff

When I double-click the .ttf, it just opens some weird preview thing in my default image-opening program (IrfanView).
Perhaps I need to change the file extension association in IrfanView.

Yep, sure enough, TTF was one of my file extension associations I had set in IrfanView.
