Converting default 3D from Surface to ACIS Solid?

When I load a TurboCAD Deluxe file and add a 3D object, it is, by default, created as a TC Surface.

What do I do to change the default 3D object to an ACIS Solid?

I may be wrong but as far as I know the graphic / tool styles are contained in the drawing so will override default settings,   there is a checkbox in advanced preferences for 'apply general property changes' so one only needs to change a few tools for all the others in the group to automaticaly change to solid.

The easiest solution I know, is to start new drawing, use Extract From,  select file, and tick contents, then untick graphic styles. then click OK,  one drawback is that one wouldn't know if the original drawing was in imperial or metric (unless it was opened first).

Hhmmm... doable, but more involved than I was hoping.

Thanks for the workaround.

Shoot-- I just pre-set the Properties of my next 3D Object inserted to "Solid", and that's now the default.
I just right-click on the 3D Objects Toolbar, Properties opens, and set to "Solid".  I don't even have to actually insert the thing.

Sounds pretty easy.  Not immediately apparent to me as I prefer to navigate through the Alt-Menu hierarchy (to me, faster than moving the mouse to a small icon, then moving it back).

Thanks.
