I have bought a new package of symbolse. I have downloaded the file but the program doesn't recognise the file when I try to upload it to the library.

What version of TurboCAD are you using? What kind of error message are you getting?

Apologies for the delay, I have been ill. I am using TurboCAD Delux 20. The file C:User\Users\Documents\TurboCAD Deluxe20\Symbols\My Symbols\My Symbols.slt not a valid library file.

Curious,   what is in the .slt file when opened in Notepad,  as far as I know the .slt file is just like a text document that tells the library what the symbols are called and where to find them,  for example -
LibVersion = 1.000000
Category = My Symbols
{
    LibraryPath = C:\Users\Andy\Documents\TurboCAD Professional 21x64\Symbols\My Symbols\My Symbols.slt
    Type = File
    TypeProcessor = SymProcFile.dll

    Symbol = Cat
    {
        Description = Cat
        File = Cat.tcw
    }

When one 'loads' library file it should read the .slt and load up whatever files (symbols) are named within, That said I don't use symbols much so others will be able to add more details.

What kind of Symbol "package" did you buy? They have a "TurboCAD_Pro_2017_Symbols.exe" file that installs to a "C:\Program Files (x86)\IMSIDesign\…" folder. When I started my copy of TurboCAD 2017 Platinum, there is a "Symbols" folder showing in the Library palette. I can drill down to a sub-folder and get to those particular symbols.

Thank you for your support. Notepad doesn't open the folder.
The package is CAD symbols 10. My Turbocad package is Turbocad 2000. In the symbols folder, are just a small number of sample symbols. I didn't buy the platinum version, so I bought this symbols package to upgrade that part of it.

Are all the symbols separate files in a folder?
If they are instead of opening the .slt file through the library open the folder.

See if this Wiki page is any Help: Loading Symbol Folders into the Library. Go down to the "Loading SLT and SLW files" section.
