4K Monitor Deal

My LG 22" monitor conked out last night after nine years and this morning I spent over four hours agonizing over the specs of a new one.  I check out Craigslist, Micro City, Fry's and others and then I ran into a promotion deal for a AOC 27" 4K monitor that cost me $50.00.  I had to go through some hoops including a visit to Amazon to get a voucher code and I should be receiving it nest week.  The monitor is:  AOC U2879VF 28" FreeSync 4K LED Monitor.  There should be only two monitors left.

I might try to buy another but I don't think they'll allow that.

Good luck to those who try,

John B.

I have a 32" QHD monitor (2560x1440, or 4 times the resolution of a 720p TV; cost way more than $50) replacing a 24" HD monitor that burned out after ~10 years.  My NVidia GTX 970 monitor can handle it, but it's at the upper end of its range.  All the text seems about the same size (the increased resolution was matched by the increase in surface area), so I am not complaining.

I would be concerned, however, about placing 4K video content onto a smaller screen.  Please let us know how it works out and which graphics card you are using to drive it.
