Inserting viewpots

I am using TC 2016 Deluxe. When I insert a viewport, the project does not show up in the created rectangle. I have tried several times, re-established the "Named View", tried paper space from student template and paper 1. I have even sat and stared at it, nothing works.
Thank you for the needed help.

Any chance you could post the file for someone to check the settings.

If not there are a number of things to check,  right click the viewport and go to properties,  is 'viewport is on' ticked, is the scale correct.

Is it 2D or 3d, is the viewport wireframe  / render etc.

After inserting the view in P Space, do you click on the "Go To" ??

Thank you. I could not determine settings problem. I re drew the project on a new plate. The viewport worked as expected.
Your input was great.

In the future when you have an intractable bug that is preventing proper operation, it would be a timesaver to select all, copy and paste into a new TurboCAD window.  The Layer structure will be copied as well.
