Using polyline for viewport in paper space

I created a closed polyline area. Selected Veiwport to create a viewport and clicked on shaped viewport, then selected my polyline. For some reason the view is not constrained by the polyline shape. It acts like the viewport is a rectangle. Must have done something wrong as I've done this before with no trouble. Any suggestions on what to look for would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Added an example of what I get. Made a crazy shape and this is how it shows up. Same thing happens using a circle as the shaped viewport.

Interesting side note. It prints fine with the view constrained to the shaped viewport. Just displays incorrectly.

Are you working in RedSDK or GDI Native Draw? My simple experimenting in RedSDK shows similar errors with "Update Viewport Boundary". I didn't try GDI, but that will probably work.

Dave,

Working at my end, see the attached video.
I have done it in GDI mode, try using GDI.

My settings are as shown below. I'll try it with GDI and see what difference it makes.
