Intel has announced their most powerful CPU in the i9 series.

The 18-core, teraflop-speed Core i9 Extreme Edition processor, the i9-7980XE, is aimed at users carrying out heavy tasks such as VR video editing, 3D modelling, and special-effects creation.

Dang... Christmas is 7 months away and I've already had my birthday. ;)

Hmm lets see,  new processor, + motherboard and memory to match it, might as well throw in an Nvidia Titan Xp, and a Samsung 960 pro v, + a little fridge to keep it all cool.

Not sure my little pension will quite stretch that far.

Nice, very nice, . . . . . but,

we can all dream - that's the easy part!

    Personally, for the time being, I prefer dreaming . . . . zzzzzzzzzzz.  ;D

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Testing/using with Win 10 and various TurboCAD 64-bit versions.

I'll plod along with my "Dual Intel Xeon Processor E5-2 650 v4 (12C, 2.2GHz, 2.9GHz Turbo, 2400MHz, 30MB, 105W". Maybe in 10 years I'll upgrade.
