Offseting an object
Read 92 times

Is there a way to offset an object that may be grouped without having to explode and individually offset each entity. I have an item that I would like to offset to it but it will take a long time if I have to do it to each and every entity.

Thanks,
Doug

I don't see a way to get around selecting each object to Offset. You can use "Ctrl+G" to open a selected Group for editing and "Ctrl+Shift+G" to close it when done; thus avoiding the need to "Explode".

Depends what you mean by offset.  Offsetting in TC usually describes parallel line segments and concentric arcs or curves that mimic originals with constant distance from the parent.  But a group can be any selection of objects without an  obvious "inside" or "outside" which can be copied with deltas or transformed, TC has simultaneous copy methods for most every transformation.
