Create a TurboCAD drawing using the SDK in VS2015

I'm trying to use C# in VS2015 to generate new drawings in turboCAD.  This should be very easy, but I can't access the TurboCAD SDK objects.

I've tried to add the "TurboCAD v4.1 Programmable Objects" as a reference to my project, but I get an error from VS stating "A reference to 'TurboCAD v4.1 Programmable Objects.' could not be added.

I also tried to just add a reference to the IMSIGXMGD.dll to the project, but that didn't work.

Finally I attempt to use dynamic types with this code with no luck:
Type _autoCadType = NULL;
_autoCadType = Type.GetTypeFromProgID("TurboCAD.Application");
object _autoCadApp = Activator.CreateInstance(_autoCadType);

I assume someone else has done this, are there any tricks that I'm missing?  I'm using the trial version of TurboCad Pro since I don't want to purchase until I know this will work, but that could be my issue.

Scott,

there is no issues/restrictions with using the trial version to test.

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Testing/using with Win 10 and various TurboCAD 64-bit versions.

Have you had success with using TurboCAD SDK from Visual Studio 2015 and C#?  If so, what approach did you use.

Thanks!

Scott,

sorry, I can't help you further.
I used the SDK with Delphi, many years ago, which worked, but that was it.
I now have other fish to fry!
