I understand that it is not ideal and we will need fix it, but your information helps our development. The optimizer works. I can now view the "Output" tab with the optimized cut patterns displayed.Note additional questions about optimizer!
Please, can you test it and change the decimal symbol "." to "," in W10. I need know if optimalization works correctly after.
Thank you for your test.
Before, I could see the calculations take place (A small window with numbers changing) -- but the outpu
t would not display -- DAEX would hang.
As before it runs the calculations and now "Output" displays the diagrams of the boards (square material).
We call Square Material "sheets" or "Panels" -- just so you know. e.g. I used three sheets
of particle board (white melamine covering) to build that cabinet. or e.g. I ordered three panels of Veneer Core Plywood
with a Walnut Veneer outer layer.
What you call "Assortment" we would call "inventory" or "stock".
In the inventory where you have "is rest" we would call it an "Offcut". So we would mark (select the box) an atypical (unusual) sheet of material as "offcut". Then we would expect to be able to tell the optimizer to prefer
using offcuts ("is rest") sheets of material.Question -- Edging:
If I create "edging" -- in the edging layer -- in the drawing and apply it to a cabinet will DAEX reduce the size of the panel or add the edging to the size of the panel? I believe it incorrectly adds it to the panel -- and then it is incorrect when sent to DAEX.
