I may be wrong, but I think the latest version of the CAM plug-in will work with earlier versions on TurboCAD. I will pose this question to Dave Taylor.

The CAM plug-in installer works only with intended version of TC.  We rebuild that installer for each new version of TC.

for instance -
Cam for v17   http://downloads.imsidesign.com/Plug-ins/CAM-17.exe
CAM   for v18 - http://downloads.imsidesign.com/Plug-ins/18/CAM-PlugIn-for-TurboCAD-18.exe
Cam for v19-    http://downloads.imsidesign.com/Plug-ins/19/04CPT5191-Cam_Plug_in_for_TurboCAD.exe
CAM   for v20 - http://downloads.imsidesign.com/Plug-ins/20/CAM_PlugIn_for_TurboCAD.exe
CAM for v21   http://downloads.imsidesign.com/Plug-ins/21/CAM_PlugIn_for_TurboCAD.exe

So the real question is what version of TC do you need to cam plug-in for?

Hi
I had an older CAM v17 version working with TC 17. Now I have TC 21 pro and wanted to upgrade my CAM to v21 and downloaded the link given. When installing the new version to my PC I got the message that I had an older version (correct) which I had to uninstal in the control panel. So I did and the new version installed, but now I do not have, or can not find or activate CAM version 17 or 21. I have lost all! How to get CAM v21 going?

Regards
Johannes

Uninstall it & re-install it. You should get a prompt to
'point" the plug in to the correct CAD version.

I have uninstalled  and tried to reinstall the program. I get up this box:

CAM Plugin for TurbuCAD-InstallShield Wizard.

InstallShield Wizard Completed.

The Wizard was interrupted before CAM Plugin for TurboCAD could be completely installed.Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, please run the installation again.
Click Finish to exite the Wizard.

I have tried many times, but is unable to install the CAM Plugin v 21.

What to do?

I see that the CAM plug in only works with 21-bit, - I use 64-bit.

Correct, the CAM plug-in is only 32bit.
Damn it! That is my problem too! I wonder if there will be a fix?

Hi guys,

I may be wrong, but, can you not run 32-bit TurboCAD on your 64-bit machines?
There is no reason, as far as I can see, why this arrangement should not work.
It might be a useful 'fix' until IMSI update and compile a 64-bit CAM plug-in?

I hope this might help.

The CAM plugin along with the 32bit installation of TC will run on a 64bit machine, The plugin is not available in a 64bit version, and will not work with the 64bit version of TC. Right now, If I need 64bit for rendering & such, I us TCv20 64bit, with my TCv21 with the CAM plugin being 32bit.

I have a 64Bit Version of TC-Pro 20 and have the same problem with the 32 bit CAM plugin. Is it possible to install
and run the TC-64bit program as a 32 bit version?

Sorry,
I just noticed that both versions (32 + 64 bit) are delivered with TC-Pro 20 and that it's possible to run
both on the same machine. Please ignore my post.
