Plant Symbols

I'm designing my front lawn removal project and I want symbols of plants to add to my design for the city water department program.  I looked on Google and I will sort through them as well.  As it is now, I'll just use circles, squares, and triangle, etc, with numbers in them and that would probably work but I want extra.

Thanks,

John B.

Hi John,

do you mean like these?
I've no idea where they came from, or, if I drew them, so apologies if they are not mine

You can design without engineering, but you cannot engineer without design.
Using Win 10 with Designer 2017 and TurboCAD Pro. Plat. 2016/2017/2018 + Lightworks (64-bit versions) + AnimationLab.

As an alternative to circle etc, I have used the cloud tool in the past to create a few different shaped plants.

I made the download but I get the ol' no matching filter failure notice.

Thanks,

Tim  Try this version . . .   It's not there.
Andy, I'm searching for cloud tool but can't find it.
I think it's time I used my imagination and do my own.  I have only about a half dozen different plants anyway.  I tried to down load something from Google but it was a .rar file and I couldn't open it.

Thanks,

John B.

Hi John,,

.rar files can be opened with WinRAR -> http://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0

I've uploaded the plant.tcw file again, so it should appear above . . .

I found Revision Cloud and it shows some promise.  Thanks John R.  I'll play with it and maybe come up with some new plants forms.

Tim:  I have your plants and might use them.  I also found a free .rar opener called Open Knife:  http://download.cnet.com/RAR-File-Open-Knife-Free-Opener/3055-2250_4-10971016.html?tag=pdl-redir

I don't remember where or how I got these, but attached are 3 cheap little 2D objects (Blocks) that I use for trees and shrubs.

After inserting the Blocks, I often re-size them to give them different looks (more than just the three... big shrubs, little shrubs; big trees, little trees...).  I get by in 2D drafting with just these three.

Play around with them, if you'd like.  Also, I have all three Blocks' Properties mostly set to "By Block", then most of the inserted Block Objects' Properties set to "By Layer".

Also pay attention my "Layer Order" I have set.  Don't let that get you if you Copy/Paste my Objects into one of your existing Drawings, and new Layers are created.

Well, I finally settled on a symbols list for my garden.  It may be a cop-out but it's just too much work for me to do right now.  It would be a great assignment to complete.  Some of the renderings I've seen here are outstanding.  Meanwhile, my plan for lawn removal has been approved by the city water department so I'll go into action with killing the grass, excavation the dirt, reworking the water system and planting drought resistance plants.
