Problem selecting external contour for pocket milling

I am new to the CAM plug-in for turboCad 18 pro and I am not doing very well.  In tutorial 1 milling a pocket I set every thing up and select pocket milling.  I am told to click external Contour.  When I click the contour all I get is a Boing and nothing gets selected no matter what I try.  When I go back and select path milling I can select the profile, generate code, and run a simulation.  Can anyone tell me what I am doing, or not doing that is causing this problem.  Thanks

make sure that all vertices are touching and that the contour is closed.

The pocketing tool needs a polyline Use the join polyline tool to join lines also remember that the lines need to be on Z 0.00 plane
