For the last 15 years I've only owned a motorbike, but this week I bought a car!
It's a red Chrysler PT Cruiser...I know these are common in the US, but down here they are rare and collectors' items.
I was so excited while I waited for it to be delivered that I downloaded this PT model from the 3D Warehouse, then applied the power of TurboCAD's SMESH tool to smooth out all those horrible triangular faces...here's the result...my "virtual PT Cruiser" until the real one (photo attached) arrives.

Very nice. I see that you prefer the traditional line of the car body.

Thanks guys,

I'm so excited...I love the bike, but now I'll be able to carry all my equipment with me to job sites AND I can get out of the rain!

Hi Michael,
The file approximately doubled in sized.
The original SKP file was 1.207 MB
The converted TCW file was 2.529 MB
...and the SMESH TCW file on level 4 was, surprisingly, only 2.685 MB

Very smoothly done Gaz.

Sometimes a decent model of a vehicle takes some finding as I remember when trying to find a Mazda RX8.

Hi Darrel,

Yes there are a lot of nasty models out there, but this one was well made. Only a few days till my car arrives now...so excited!
I've ordered my 'CAD MAN' number plates, and number plate frames with my website on them, and floor mats...now I just need the car to put them in!

What fun! I always liked the style of the PTs, and the Chevy HHR.  Takes me back to '50s pickup vans. Nice work on the model, you're getting to be our smeshpert! I haven't tried it yet. I know what you mean though about those nasty triangles - 3D warehouse models are awful that way. Good luck with the car.

I got the plates on...so does Charlotte (yes I named her Charlotte) look a bit like the original model?
Now let's hope she helps generate some more business for me!
