Anatoli Albuls' TurboCad Visual Basic Tool (TCVBTool)

Does anyone have a copy of Anatoli Albuls' TurboCad Visual Basic Tool?  It contained the  Visual Basic source code with the basic elements for creating a plug-in tool for TurboCAD.

This code was posted to the TurboCAD Programming forum a few years ago by SoftDev developer Anatoli Albul.   As we all know the old forum id dead and it appears that the wealth of knowledge its contained has been forever lost.

It is listed in Tom Snapes site as TCVBTool.exe (58 KB, self extracting); however, the site Tom uses does not allow downloading of exe files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You Bernd for helping me out, again

When I get the opportunity, I will study the files and if sort out how Anatolis' example works, I will  post to the forum.

Best Regards,

That sample from Anatoli is about the simplest VB add-on you can create for TurboCAD. Have a look at the attached PDF for a walkthrough of how to create an add-on from scratch using VB6. It may give you a slightly better understanding of what all the different functions are for.

Kevan

Kevan,

I downloaded the file but Acrobat gave me an error message saying the file is damaged and cannot be opened.

What version of Acrobat or Adobe Reader are you using? The pdf was created with Acrobat Professional 9, and opens without complaint in Adobe Reader 8...

I tried it on my other machine with Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and it opened.  It would not open with 5.0.

OK, thanks. I'll see what compatibility options I have next time I make a PDF.

I always try to use the oldest save option possible in order that people using legacy programs will still be able to access the files.

Would this reference information still be valid with TC19 - 21 pro? I have a programmer friend that is gonna build me a plugin to build my special feed screw as seen in this post.

Hi Kenneth
works fine here. TC2015-32 bit, Win7-64 bit. "native draw"= GUI with lightworks. (and works fine with TC19-32 bit and TC20-32 bit)

with TC19 i tried to  switch to 64-bit. But all the vb6 .exe or .dll running slow (at least 100-times slower than on 32 bit) I think it has to do with WOW - but don´t know really. Probably the time is your minor problem. If your special screw needs 10 sec or 100 millisec doesen´t really matter - or?
