Raytrace full with hidden line

Just spotted something on Paul the cad's site showing how it is possible to combine raytrace full and hidden line, I never knew about this before, and don't know how far it goes back.

Here is the link to Paul's page, click the video under the heading "Visual Styles- Presentation" near the bottom of the page, but watch the video all the way through, as some of the early stuff we already know.

Amazing what you can miss if you don't keep your eye on the ball Henry, for a few years at least, I used to do two versions and overlay in Paint Shop Pro to give a partial illustration effect.
