Title: Winchester Box & Cartridges
Post by: Brad Easterday on May 30, 2010, 12:00:43 AM
I originally modeled this back in TC v9. I found myself with a little time to play today, so I did.  :)

Simply marvelous,I'm curious how did you construct the box?

Thanks guys.

W.D. there wasn't a bend tool to play with back in v9 so I created separate objects for each side of the box. The attached image shows the individual objects.

Thanks Brad for the pointer it's helpful. Although your method was done in version 9 it proven to be better process in my opinion i would think applying the graphics would be simpler to control. The bend tool could be simpler in some ways but I wonder how it would handle with the curvature flap on the carton.Bend tool could fold up it nicely but i think in progression in the model build up could consume more time long run.

Thanks for jpeg that's big help

Hi Brad,
Just curious what was the render time on this one?

I didn't watch the time on this one. I just let it go over night for a 2800x2000 pixel render. I'm sure I got more rest than the computer did. :)
