Title: Find duplicate points in a polyline
Post by: PhilC on September 13, 2018, 11:51:13 AM
I have two figures, basically the same shape, drawn with the same segments, but different sizes.
At some point one acquired a duplicate point- one has 146 points, the other 147.

Is there a way to find which point is duplicate and eliminate it?
The visual point count is the same for both figures.  I've tried moving points off the figure one by one, which doesn't work.

Fixed it.  Loaded it into Corel Draw 12, which correctly read 146 points.  Saved the file.  It now reads 146 points in TurboCAD.
Kind of a dumb program.

For those of us who do not have Corel Draw, I'd select one of the figures, move it a specified distance so that they don't overlap (but with an obvious offset so that it can be precisely moved back into position) and determine which has the extra point.

Explode and rejoin the polyline, extra vertex magicked away.
