Title: Moving Objects in Paperspace
Post by: Darryl W on May 25, 2018, 12:03:24 AM
Is there an alternate way of moving viewports or objects in paperspace?

Only got the 2D selector with ability to move horizontally across the screen, I'd like to move it vertically as well but you gotta use the reference point then which is less accurate.

Press the Shift and it follow the Ortho both way, Select the viewport and take the green handle and you can rotate it

If you can only move horizontally, but not vertically, it sounds like Modes / Lock Y position (at least, that's where I find it) has been activated.

Also, if you want to move accurately without using Snaps, try the Delta X/Y or Distance/Angle options.  If you don't see them in the Inspector Bar, right-click in the Paper Space and select the Selector 2D Properties... menu item so that you can activate their radio buttons.

Transform tools give full movement in paperspace without having to manipulate anything.
