Title: PaperSpace Modifications
Post by: Darryl W on March 17, 2018, 03:23:37 PM
If this has been mentioned before then aplogies for doubling up!

When youve got many paperspace tabs running horizontally across the screen it makes it more difficult to navigate the contents of all those printed designs. Therefore if the developers/imsi saw fit to add the paperspace features into a pallet instead, they could open up that functionality by giving us the ability to add notes for each printed paperspace,

The key aspects I think would be the name of the Paperspace, Paper Size, Designed for Printer Name and Basic notes.

The benefits here would be that we gain a little screen real estate back, and all other features or elements then appear in a pallet instead.

Confirm

We do have some of it already in Design Director, but it could be nice with more of the basic info and possebility to insert/ use it inside the P Space itself.

Need to improve the dialog box size when adding or selecting a created view for the viewport, at the moment mine shows a mximum of 3 entries.

Also creating a tabbed vertical display for the pages in their own window would be great.

Select the "Space" section in the Design Director, then click on "Open As Separate Palette". Dock the palette wherever in the program or outside of it. Clicking in the "Active" column will take you to the Paper Space page or to a selected viewport within that page.

We seriously need better paper space management.  I will have in a single cad file with 100+ drawings (paper spaces) of different variations of portable storage sheds.  This whole process could be made a lot easier.
