How do you rotate 3D models in Model space into consistent angles in order to create viewports in order to drop them onto a paper view to develop exploded view drawings

What version of TC are you using?  There are a bucketload of methods, some are pro only.  You can use multiple cameras (viewpoints) without moving the model, there are a bucketload of methods to move models.  Inspector bar data boxes are one way of declaring angles.

Hold the "Shift" key and use the Left or Up Arrow key to rotate counter-clockwise or use the Right or Down Arrow key to rotate clockwise. Normally, it rotates at 22.5° for each step. If the "Scroll Speed" slider in "Camera Properties" (Ctrl+Alt+C) is set all the way to the left, it 2.25°.
This rotates the "view", not the objects.
