Title: Can't Access Layer Sets under TC 15.2
Post by: rbright on May 19, 2009, 01:01:14 AM
Under Design Director I can't see the option to "Create Set" so I can nominate bunches of layers into Sets .
Any help appreciated :-\

From the options menu select layers. You can create sets in the layers dialog.

Design Director has Templates (Create Template), which is similar to a "Layer Set", found in the Layers dialog. You should use one or the other, as trying to work with both creates headaches.

I agree with John.  Layer templates in the Design Director work a little different than layer sets and they are not well documented or documented at all.  Sometimes you may loose them when reloading a file which means that you should save each template you create if you may want it again.  Maybe IMSI will again make layer sets available in the Design Director.

I think layer sets in design director would be great!
The printed manual for Tcad V16 says they are there...
So much easier to manage layers there than in the layers dialog box.
