Auto run program / macro to change tool selected at startup.

This is based on a problem post I placed, and a wish list item that has been requested several times.

In my work I have a established set of 1 - 200 drawings that are being revised as the prototype is being built.

In 99.9% of my work I want to open a drawing and select something as my first operation. TC automatically sets the draw line tool upon opening. Could something be written, for the general user, that would let them change the default tool to something else?

Generic question - Is it possible in Ruby to code an auto run / auto execute function that would execute on "File Open"  and do this?
I'm probably going to pick up Ruby is the next year or so.
