Hold down the right mouse button and the cursor turns into a Hand which grabs the page just like in Acrobat Reader and other programs.

What do you want to do with the page after grabbing it?

This might work OK in 2D drawings.  In 3D drawings though, it would be weird I think though.  Would you just scroll up and down and side to side in the current workplane or view?

If you have a form of intellimouse, pressing and holding the wheel's default option rotates the view in all directions if you didn't know already.

I should have specified that I meant the feature for 2D drawings. There are many times when I need to reach diagonally just a bit beyond the edge of the screen. The Hand tool combines the function of both slider bars in one motion.

Depending on your mouse software, you might be able to do this already.

With the Mouse wheel depressed,
hold down the Ctrl and Shift key and drag (pan)
hold down the Ctrl key and drag toward the screen center (Zoom out)
hold down the Ctrl key and drag away from the screen center (Zoom in)
hold down the Shift key and drag to rotate the view.

This won't work with Logitech "SetPoint™" software. A new driver might help. :-)

I really like the "pan" (hand) suggestion.  It would be handy (no pun intended).  As an example, Corel Paint Shop Pro has a fly-out tool bar so you can choose between (4) different types of cursors:

-Pick is the normal arrow cursor
-Move is a cursor that allows moving selected areas very easily
-Pan is the familiar "hand" cursor that grabs the screen and moves it around
-Zoom is a cursor that "selects' an area, then automatically zooms the selected area to the extents of the window

Now I realize that most of this functionality is already available, but putting it in one easily accessible toolbar, I think, would be pretty cool.  As we all know, almost every available function is accessible via several different methods.  Menus, toolbars, fly-outs, etc.

TCW already has (2) different types of cursors available via a flyout.  why not add a couple more?

I haven't used pan since discovering zoom in/out to cursor and zoom extents with the scroll wheel button click.   Sublimely (subliminally, even) intuitive.

I installed the Logitech 4.80 SetPoint software and can get the MX Revolution that I have to act just like my generic mouse when I hold the mouse wheel down.

In the Logitech software I chose the #3 feature under Select Button which was set to "Do Nothing". I backtracked to Select Program and added TurboCAD V16 to the list. Use "TCW16.exe" in the "C:\Program Files\IMSIDesign\TCWP16\Program" folder. After that, I changed the "Do Nothing" setting to "Other" and changed the function to "Middle Button". Apply.

Now, when I hold the Ctrl & Shift keys while dragging with the wheel depressed, I can pull the drawing in any direction just like an Adobe hand.

This may be available already as I usually work with a plain ol' generic mouse and there are people here more knowledgeable about Logitech than me.

Update. Now using 17.2 Plat.
Method 1: Hold Ctrl+Shift keys and drag with Rt mouse button.
Method 2: Press and Hold mousewheel and drag.

I like Method 2. I don't have an expensive mouse, but it works fine.
It's RF just like my KB. This keeps the cable clutter on my desk down to a minimum.

I’m a new user. TC 17. SetPoint 5.20.50.
Method 1 works, method 2 doesn’t work.
I wonder why to spend too much time to find how to set the mouse and the TC Option.

So I completely agree with the old post by dwarner. Besides I think should be very cheap to implement it.

Hi Guys
I also have the same mouse with simalar problems. I rung Logitech and they asked me to unistall the software and put in 6.20 the latest version. But I cant get rid of the old software, I am waiting on the IT department to do this. Then It should work 100% and are able to program each button and wheel to turbocad

To complete my previous  post, my SetPoint version is: control center 6.20.50 and Driver 5.20.21 (Mouse MX Anywhere).
Kevin, probably you won’t have any improvement upgrading Logitech sw. Perhaps I’m not so skilled to find the right configuration necessary for TC and Logitech wedding, but I wonder why I should be. Most applications use the simple and damned hand utility!

Method 1 works, method 2 doesn’t work.

probably because the scroll-wheel on most recent mid/top end Logitech mice doesn't function as a middle button - clicking it only engages or disengages "Hyperscroll" (freewheel or ratchet)

Use Setpoint to reassign the little button next to wheel as "Middle Button". It'll have a "Document Flip" or "One-touch search" default setting.

I agree about adding the hand scroll button. Although TC has added some of the features that I really miss about AutoCAD, I still want that hand. It is so much more flexible and intuitive than this business of panning around with the arrows at the side of the screen.

re: hand…much more flexible and intuitive than this business of panning around with the arrows at the side of the screen.

I can't remember the last time I used the scrollbar arrows. As mentioned above, I find that when I hold down the Ctrl and Shift key and then drag a with the Mouse wheel depressed the best way to Pan. Maybe they could code the program to change the icon to a hand when you do this, but it seems somewhat unnecessary.
