I often find that players appear in the final movie at different orientations and positions to those recorded relative to path actors or points chosen. This is especially true of players created by copying or creating with functions such as "radial copy." This happens using Scenario Script Editor or Key Frames Mode. Today I find three of my players have completely dissappeared from the drawing after play scenario is activated and completed.

I have TurboCAD Platinum 17 and AnimationLAB 4.4. on Acer 8920G laptop with Dual T5750 2Mh 4MB RAm and Nvidia 9500M GS graphics card on Windows 7 64bit.

Any advice please?

I should also mention that I frequently change the control point to facilitate repositioning for frames etc.

Hi,

is it possible to post a file, simplified if necessary, which illustrates this behavior?

I'm still using 16.2.  If you could save as this type it would help, if there are no other offers!

Regards Tim

I have had partial success in resolving issues moving actors along paths where they started part way through the path. I was using asy 25-100, 100-75% where I should have been using 25-100, 0-75% I  seem to have got cofused with the frames which were in the order of 0-99. I still have problems on more complex drawings following paths with multiple actors, I don't know if it is a function of graphics card, Reddsk, GUI or finger/brain interface. I tried simplifying the drawing as you requested and removing many f the actors solved the problem but dthat oes not alter the fact that I need them in the end drawing. Unfortunately I am unuble to publish the drawing at present or I would do so to allow you to see the problem in all its glory. I shall try and produce a drawing with a simillar problem over the weekend.
Thanks for your help.

I have resolved this issue which has been driving me mad for some time. I have been building up the movie step by step checking the animation at each one. The drawings I have been working on have a high order of rotational symmetry where actor 1 will end up at actor 2 position, actor 3 on actor 4 etc. I failed to realise that when I continued with the actor movements for the next sequence, the actors are recorded from their new positions. The solution is indeed simple, after each sequence construction I press "backstep" once which returns the actors to their original position (regardless of the number of movie frames created) and the next set of steps can be added seemlessly to the movie.

Yes, an easy mistake to make.

Glad to hear you resolved the problem.
