The CAM plug-in for v16 is now available. It will run on 16 and 16 only.

If you have the plug-in for v14 or v15 send me an e-mail with your serial number and I will reply with a link.

Has anyone actually re-installed this software on TCP16?
I attempted to many times and it says.. "Please, remove all the CAM Plug-in for TurboCAD before installation and try again".  The only way to remove it is to uninstall TCP14 (Which was working with the CAM).  I did that and I still get the warning.  I went through the registry with RegEdit and manually removed all instances of CAM and re-booted and tried again.  It still gives me the  warning message.

If anyone has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks

you can only have one instance of the CAM package installed at a time. I asked this the day after I bought The plug-in. If I had known that I probably would not have paid for it. I still use v15.2 predominantly.

I also have failed to install the CAM plug in for V16

I have made sure that ALL my previous TurboCAD installs are removed, and the registry cleaned up.

Still fails.

Not really in a position to do a complete Windows from scratch reinstall - which is what I am guessing it will need.

So is there going to be an update on this, with an installable plugin.... or what?

I.e. should I be asking for my money back?

Susan.

"So is there going to be an update on this, with an installable plug-in.... or what?"

Nope!! not for the plug in.If you are using Vista turn the UAC to it lowest setting before loading it and if your anti virus has the features to be put in the pause mode do so before the installation .You shouldn't have to do a reinstall of your operating system.TC has to be loaded for the plug-in to be installed and there may be activation process to do to make it work.I got TCC Ver.3 to work with W7.I found that Cam wouldn't display with the UAC at operating level. The other thing is to on the setup.exe file before loading cam plug in right click your mouse to invoke the compatibility mode.Than again if you are using Xp that's a different venue .

Sorry but I'm not aware of any Vista specific problems with any of our software including plug-ins.
Give us a few hours to check it out to confirm.

Hai susan,

I had also a lot of problems to install CAM plug-in for TC v16.0 build 36
Only when I installed TC 16.1 build 47.5 and later it started to work well.
I did my first CAM yesterday.

I use XP pro (SP3) with 4GB Ram modules (3.2 GB used by XP)

I do not now what build you are working with ?

Dave
For what it worth I couldn't get TCC Ver3.to run on Vista Basic sp1 . At that point move W7. Runs ok at my end along with the Animation 3.6.It sure would been nice if there was TCC Ver.4 introduce to the product line in the next version .Hint Hint.Every thing kind of all under one umbrella no more fuss. One disc, one activation process.Ya maybe put that on the Xmas list Grin

Ping ya later

Susan,

What fails?

Does the CAM plug-in not install?

Do you get an error message?

Actually Marc reminds me that you do have to run the CAM plug-in on 16.1.
It will not work on 16.0.

Dear All,

Thanks for the postings.

Well after a certain amount of distress I am pleased to say that I now have CAM working (with 16.2).

I am running Win XP sp3 on a Pentium 4 "own build" machine.

Okay, problems....

1. After failed CAM install, go and find Microsoft's "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility", run and remove the TurboCAD CAM entry ONLY.

2. Close all programs and turn OFF antivirus software.

3. Run CAM install software.

4. Discover that the download was wrong, was sent link to v14 CAM not V16 CAM software.

5. Turn AV back ON!

6. Send help email to supplier.

7. Get prompt response and a new link a while later (which I pick up the next evening).

8. Close all programs and turn OFF antivirus software.

9. Run CAM install software.

10. Eureka, it installs Smiley

11. Turn AV back ON!

12. Run TC16 - 2.5D CAM logo flashes up during start-up - promising.

13. Yes, it works.

14. Try to remember what to do next Smiley Um, decide to wait until weekend and have a proper session.

15. ... Remember to post this update on TurboCAD Forum

======

Well, that's a relief.

Best wishes,
Susan.

Rip,

I have sent you 3 emails with my ver 15 SN for the CAM plug in.  You sent me a link to the ver 16 CAD download not the CAM plug in download.  You have not responded to my emails.  Please send me the link you said you would send or respond to my email.
