Hi,
I have drawn a helix and then a small triangle, I then used the Rail Sweep tool to produce a thread, Or at least I thought it would but the triangle profile I used seems to rotate through the sweep?? Why ?? I cant see any option to rotate the sweep (Or not in this case!!)
Please help any one.
Image attached shows the Helix (In Purple) and the sweep to show what I mean

I gave up trying that way and went with the Revolve tool :)

Good choice

The revolve is a good tool for threads,   unfortunately Deluxe lacks some options available in pro to try and counteract the twist when using helix / 3D spline,  which happens just the same in pro as well as deluxe, even in pro I'd personally use revolve rather than sweep for threads.

Yep, with a good Spiral Pitch and enough Coils, you should get some decent threads in Deluxe.
