Based on your Subject line, it seems that you are running the 32-bit versions of the software on a 64-bit operating system.

Have you tried running the 64-bit versions of the TurboCAD software to see what happens?

In my opinion v 21 and v 2015 are not friends :)

I have both in 64 bit, and need to do a repair on v 21 everytime i want to open it, normally not used anymore so not a big problem, but annoying to do anyway, i think that started in Win 8, but not sure on this, only 99.99 % :), and still do in win 10.

Hi Youssouf -

Try this:
Download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update. (Under the Windows 10 messaging)
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=26347

Click on download, then select the x86 and x64 versions, and click Next. After a longish delay, the download screen should pop up for each file.

We think that if the correct versions of the vc redistributables are not installed, the program will throw side-by-side errors as seen in the user’s application logs.
If this fixes it, we may need to be sure the installer is laying down these components as prerequisites.

I did, I find Win 8 uncluttered compared to Win 10.  I've found 21PP 64 and 2015PP 64 to be more prone to crashing than V17, which I use a lot.  I've had crashes not only with files from 32-bit versions, it hadn't occurred to me that that might be a reason, because it's also crashed interopping obj for subD modelling and .sat too.  My own hunch was that inserted pictures might play a part.  Microsoft's site gives two 64-bit packs one 6.3Mb, one 3 Mb.  The 6.3Mb one wouldn't run on my laptop, saying my CPU's incompatible (Celeron), the 3 Mb did take.

3 MB is just barely enough RAM to start up 64-bit Windows and TurboCAD.  Even then, you would have to have a very small (and simple) drawing.

Do you actually have a 64-bit motherboard and OS?  If not, then the 32-bit version of TurboCAD is what you should be using.

Hi Youssouf,
sorry to hear you are having problems.

It would help us, to  help you, if you would post a drawing which causes your PC to crash.
What is the specification/type of PC you are using?

Regards Tim

Using Win 10 with Designer 2017 and TurboCAD Pro. Plat. 2016/2017/2018 + Lightworks (64-bit versions).

Yousouff  -  I wonder if you can post your system information.  You should be able to do this as .txt file via the System Information dialog using File |Export.

I am also curious what virus protection you are running?  They can cause this behavior, so you might try temporarily disabling it to see if it is the culprit.
