Need help with line styles

v19.2 Deluxe

I don't have access to custom line styles (due to deluxe version). Is it still possible to make (or adjust) a line style with letters?

I would simply like to make the letters closer in these line styles. (TCW file is attached)

If someone is feeling very generous... I would like 3 times as many letters. This might be a simple edit for a "pro". :)

Thanks for your help!

Maybe this will work. There were 2 "Dash" entries that created the "Line" and I removed one of them. Now the text is closer.

Can you rename these line styles? They don't override the old ones.

Thanks again!!!

Got anything in particular, or will "G-01", "T-01" & "E-01" be okay?

Here are other line styles that you may find useful. The "SHX" files go in your "Shapes" folder.

Us Deluxers (which I still am, partially) can do a lot with Line Styles via the TcExplorer Palette.
It helps considerably to have something close to start with.

Read the "Deluxe" section in the Line Styles page of the TurboCAD Wiki, which is about two-thirds of the way down in the page linked.

Also: John R shared with me some time ago a nice little TurboCAD file containing a number of custom and useful Line Styles.
I'm sure John won't mind my posting it here; it's attached.  Just Copy & Paste the one(s) you can make use of into a Drawing.  And/or make them a Symbol Library, for easy drag-&-drop.

Apparently, they were last saved in a Pro version, so Deluxe Users will get that typical warning/message (such as screen-capture below) when opening the file.

Again, starting with one of these, then using Deluxe's TcExplorer Palette as detailed in the link I shared in my just-previous Post, there is a lot we can do, as far as custom Line Styles in Deluxe goes...

If anyone can make a "P" linetype, I will like that person a little bit more than before. :)

Just added a "P" line to the line styles in John R's drawing and saved as.

Hope it is what you needed.

Thanks, Steve!!!
However, it needs to be a v19.2 file. Could you please re-save it and post it here, again.

Thanks!  :)

TC 19 version. I added a P 01 line style by modifying E 01.

Version 19.2

The attached custom linetype is set to "world" scale. I use it for rooftop sleepers. I would like to use it for railroad, but the spacing is too far.
When dash scale is 1, the sleepers are 36 inches wide at 36 inches on center.

If someone could simply double, and triple the number of times the "sleeper" occurs, I would appreciate it!
So the sleepers would occur at 18, and 9 inches on center. (With dash scale at 1 with world scaling)

Please create 3 more linetypes and save to v19.2. You can name them rail1, and rail2.

Thanks for your help!!!

Thanks again John R. Love those Line Styles (for landscaping esp.)

Hmmm, beer would be nice. Just kidding ;D

Chicago's a long way from far north coast of NSW. ;)

Hey Steve (or John),

Can you please make and "F" linetype (for FIBER) to the attached file? (please save as v19.2).

Steve had made the P version earlier.

Thanks for your help!

Your 'F' line style.

Open up the original drawing with the "P" Line" style in it.
Open Format/Line Styles
Select the existing "P" line style
Select "New"
Rename "F" (top of box)
In the "Text" column select the "P" and change to an "F"
Click OK and you have your new "F" Line Style in that drawing only.
Can "Add to Defaults" or use TC Explore to use in other drawings or even better modify template so it is part of it.
Cheers.

I gave you a choice of "F" or "FO". I believe that "FO" is the correct lettering for Fiber Optics.

It would help if you put your Version/Edition in your Profile Signature. I'm assuming you're still using V19 Deluxe.

I don't have "Line Styles" option under Format. I don't have a Pro version (I have 19.2 deluxe).
Thanks for your help! (John made a linetype).

Thank you JohnR, but where would I find this "Shapes" folder? Not under Programs(x86)/TurboCad 2017, for sure...
