Recently got a new laptop-HP pavillion AMD510-5745 2.10Ghz, Radeon HD graphics 8G ram windows 8.1. HP DVDRAM GU90N.
I Installed my old 15 pro on it but soon got 'file corrupted' errors so just purchased 19 platinum S/N TCBH-7865-0326-4345-3846 with the hopes that it would be smooth sailing.
The disk is not even recognized. Tried auto-run manual settings, etc.  Recognized as TC 19 on my win7 machine
Is this a driver issue or?  Thx in advance

K- after searching the Forums it appears 19 platinum will not work on 8.1?

What do I have to do to get my 15 pro working without file corruption errors. Save to dwg instead of tcw or dxf?

Thx, Steve

Have you tried using Windows' Compatibility options, and electing to Run TurboCAD version-15Pro in Windows XP compatibility?

Below is how that option window looks in Windows 7; I don't know how it looks in Windows 8.

Steve V19 platinum works fine on Windows 8.1, so I think there is something else at play here, but need a bit more info like is the disk itself not recognised or the program.

Whoops.  Sorry, I misread the original Post/issue.
I thought Steve was having issues with version-15 on Windows 8.
My bad :-\  -Alvin

HI Alvin - what you posted was correct - I think Steve may be happy to get any version working at present, we can then look to getting v19 working

Thanks guys, yes and yes. The V19 platinum disk is not recognized on my new HP 8.1  laptop. I tried to do the manual auto-play, etc but can't get the system to see anything. I put the disk in my win7 desktop and it sees it and is ready to go.

After my aborted attempt at V19 install I went and put my 15 pro (build 24.5- is that 15.2?) on the new laptop and got the 'file corrupted' errors when saving as dxf.  I uninstalled and am at a loss now

Thx for all the responses,

Steve

For the Version-19 issue:  Skip the disk, and download and install the latest/greatest Full-Build from these Forums (here), and use your Serial Number and Activation Code when prompted.
